Eat full full at Manpuku

7 04 2009

We were invited to a preview and food tasting session at Manpuku Japanese Gourmet Town this evening.  There were so much variety of Japanese cuisines to chose from.  Their store concept was also rather interesting.

Hi hi… sorry, Manpuku is not halah. Hmmm… only Kedai Kue Kue, Secret Recipe and F.I.S.H are halah certified.

I thought it was quite ridiculous that several spots in the mall have no mobile network coverage. I am on Singtel. An example of just such a spot is inside Uniqlo, and along the corridor immediately next to Uniqlo leading to the washrooms.

Hi David, thanks for your feedback! We understand how you feel as we were also trying to make phone calls in the mall. We have already informed the relevant telcos and we hope they can get the network fixed really soon.

Hey there!

Was @ Tamp1 today. It’s was super crowded, i was there for a quite a period of time & crowd never dies out!

Well, i think tt the people tt were directing people around the escalators today were kind of rude. Cus some stores were located near the escalators, and we wanted to stop to take a look, but was reprimanded by the staff that we were blocking the crowd or smth…

And the security guards was kind of cute & friendly. :) Cus one of the escalators broke down, and he joked around, and told us tt we could use the stairs or other escalators & even greeted us etc. :D

Overall, the stores were gr8 & many stuffs to look out for! It’s like a 2nd orchard road!

I work near to Tampines 1 and I have to say that I am really impressed by the Japanese food in both Manpuku and also in Cold Storage. The latter surprises me to say this. No major gripes but the queuing to get into and to pay at Manpuku make me more likely to run in and out of CS rather than waste my precious lunchtime queuing. There has got to be a better system of handing cards out!?

Hi Matt. Thanks for your feedback. We will inform the management of Manpuku to look into the matter. Thank you for shopping at Tampines 1.

Any plans to have more halah eateries/cafes at the mall? So that I would have more choices to meet up my Muslim friends.

Hi hi… Currently, only Secret Recipe and F.I.S.H are halah certified. Will definitely consider getting more halah eateries in the future. :)
