The Faces That Launched Tampines 1

We would like to extend a special thanks to all shoppers who have supported Tampines 1 during its opening weeks and have participated in the various programs.  One of the most memorable events we had done was the “Go Green & Grin” audition where we were searching for faces to launch Tampines 1.  Many shoppers were very candid and played a good sport during the audition.  It was filled with so much fun!  We really had a hard time selecting the photos to be featured in our press advertisement.  So finally, here are the following faces that launched Tampines 1:

We  secretly wish we had taken our art classes seriously in school when we met Mr. Brad Blaze, an Australian Speed Painter who was in town for Tampines 1’s official opening last weekend.  Man, this bloke is a genius!  We were totally filled with awe as we witnessed him completing a painting in less than 5 minutes.  Just imagine: before you could even finish your burger, he is done with his painting.  Woooo…..  Here’s an unedited video clip to demonstrate how fast he was to complete his painting.

Brad believes that it’s never too late to picking up painting. The key to mastering art is: practice, practice and more practice.  As more people start to recognize his talents, he has been invited to diffferent parts of the world to perform speed painting.  Brad also shared that his most memorable engagement was meeting and painting the Prime Minister of Fiji.  Wooah!!

Our conclusion: we shall go and get our paint brushes now!!

Celebrating Official Opening @ Tampines 1

Tampines 1 celebrated its official opening last Friday after 100 days since it opened its doors on 9 April 2009.  Yes, it has been more than 100 days already and we are so glad to have the support of many shoppers and business partners.  We had a blasting time during the official opening ceremony which was held at our roof terrace last Friday.
