Behind the Scene: Dancing Christmas Trees

Christmas gets extra Quirky at Tampines 1 this holiday season as we present our very own upside-down Christmas Tree and hung upside-down Christmas wreaths with reindeer horns.  We also threw surprises at shoppers with our dancing Christmas trees!  Many shoppers asked if there were anyone inside the trees (Erm… yeeees).  Some shoppers even asked their children to shake with the trees (erm… how?).  We had loads of fun as many shoppers were pleasantly surprised by the dancing trees.  Here’s some snap shots on what happened and what went behind the scenes.

Kids were more interested in their games than the trees. Haha...

Loads of Fun at Kids Jingle Rockers Contest

We had loads of fun watching adorable kids performing in the Kids Jingle Rockers Contest at Tampines 1 last weekend.  The talent contest was organized by Tampines 1 and sponsored by Cold Storage, MCKY Unlimited and Kids Avenue.  There were 2 categories in the contest:  A) 4-6 years old and B) 7-9 years old.  All participants were required to dressed in Christmas theme, so they looked really cute in their Christmas frocks.

9 year-old Angela Shea was very confident in her performance and natural in her delivery

It was a hilarious moment when little Angel publicly professed her "love" for a young boy from the audience. We could see how terrified the poor boy was.

“Never thought I would win a car!”

The results for 8 Malls & More Lucky Draw winners is out! 

 

For last 2 months, thousands of shoppers had registered their chance at Tampines 1  to win $1,000 worth of AsiaMalls vouchers weekly and a brand new Mazda3 in the the joint promotion between 8 shopping malls namely:- Tiong Bahru Plaza, Century Square, Hougang Mall, White Sands, Liang Court, Tampines 1, Jurong Point and Heartland Mall-Kovan.

 

The Grand Draw was held at Liang Court and we were there to witness it.

It was a heart-stopping evening watching the 24 qualifying shoppers vying for their chance to win a Mazda3.

The 8 babes were sent to the prize cars as they await the unveiling of the car winners. We wondered why there was no hunk in the presentation. Hmmm...

Round #1: Using Bingo, 16 shoppers were shortlisted among the 24 shoppers to enter the second round of the contest. Round #2: The 16 shortlisted participants had their chance to select a key from the display board and try to activate any of the prize cars which were on display.  There were 16 keys but only 8 of them were actual keys to the prize cars.  If the participant manage to activate any of the cars, he/she will be the lucky winner of that car.  Good luck, guys!!

A shopper from Tampines 1, Mr Lau Cheng Chew picked the key that was labelled with the lucky number 8. And that number sure brought him luck!

YEP!!  Mr Lau is one of the 8 lucky winners and he only spent $299 at Challenger @ Tampines 1.

Here are the 8 lucky winners (the ones standing behind) who will be driving away the brand new Mazda3, 1.6L, 4-door automatic sedan.  WOOT!!

 

CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners and we look forward to see you driving to our mall!  What can we say?  It pays to shop at the malls!

Hoop Hoop Hula!
