We recently found an online article that made our jaws dropped – “How shoppers get a sexual thrill out of seeing a special offer in the supermarket”.
The researchers from the University of Westminster used a system called iMotion which measures the body’s emotional responses on a scale of one to ten.
One promotion (which gave away a free audiobook featuring the children’s character Horrid Henry) had registered a scored of up to 5.8 among the consumers. Woot!
Wow!! So now we know why so many people love shopping… :p
