After much anticipation, DeConti Caffè & Gelato (#02-K2) has finally opened its first store at Tampines 1!
DeConti is an innovative Italian chain of handmade coffee and gelato, which places large emphasis on retaining the authenticity of traditional Italian recipes.
We were invited for a food tasting session last week, and we had a hard time making our choices with its wide variety of offerings on the menu!
The Yogurts, Tiramisu, Pies really made us drool too…
But we finally settled down with their recommended items!
Croissant with Pistachio Cream
$3.50/croissant + $1/filling
The Pistachio cream at DeConti was imported from Bronte, Sicily in Italy. You can now enjoy true Italian taste without having to fly there! Other fillings include Gianguja (Chocolate with Hazelnut), Almond, Custard and Dark Chocolate (imported from Piemonte, Italy). We’re sure there is a flavour to suit everyone’s taste buds!
The croissant was fragrant on its own and the fluffiness between the layers just kept us eating till the last bits. Pistachio cream was an additional delight with its unique sweet taste.
Pistachio Coffee $5 (one size)
The coffee held 4 layers!
Pistachio cream, Espresso coffee, Skimmed Milk / Whipped cream, Chocolate/ Coffee Powder
The coffee had a subtle taste of the sweet Pistachio cream, which surprisingly went well with the Espresso coffee. If you want something sweeter, you may add in some sugar syrup!
Gianduja Iced Mousse $6.20 (Medium)
Gianduja, a sweet chocolate containing hazelnut paste, is blended with ice, hazelnut and milk, to create this refreshing blended drink. This drink is a perfect choice for non-coffee drinkers, who love to spend time with their friends at DeConti.
And how can we forget Gelato!
People will usually say, “No matter how bloated I am, there’s always space for Ice Cream!”
There’s 10 flavours available each day, with 6 fixed flavours and 4 to surprise customers daily! Don’t we all love surprises? 🙂
We ordered 2 flavours, Hazelnut and Pistachio gelato!
We were busy taking photos of the coffee and croissant which resulted in the Gelato melting. Ooops… But we still love it although it might be a tad too sweet for customers who do not like sweet stuff.
If you are looking for a new place to chill out with your friends or families over a cup of Italian coffee, gelato and croissant, De Conti Caffe & Gelato will definitely be your new favourite cafe!
We hope to see you at Tampines 1 soon!
