Kids! Sport a new hair cut at The D’s Kiddy Salon (#04-01)!

As you go up the escalator from Level 3, you will be greeted with a bright and cheerful store front 😀

It is The D’s Kiddy Salon (#04-01), a hair salon for children (up to 15 years old), newly opened on 1st March 2012!

We ♥ how this salon sets up a fun and cheery mood with its decor!

We were attracted by the striking colours and we decided to explore the salon further. We are impressed that there was a kids’ corner specially designated for little ones to play so that they feel comfortable with the environment before having their haircut. And the corner was thoughtfully furnished. 🙂

Kids' Corner specially designed for little ones to play in.

Nicely furnished with toys and books!

There is also a screen at every counter so children can enjoy their favorite character show while having haircuts.

The salon is offering parents a deal too good to be true – 50% OFF each haircut (U.P. $20) until 15 March 2012! Excited already? The salon is also launching their loyalty card promotion, starting this Saturday 10 March.

Exclusive Preview Party At Tampines 1 Wildlife-Themed Rooftop Playground!

Parents will be THRILLED to discover a new place to bring their kids to play – its our new 10,000 square feet wet-and-dry wildlife-themed playground right at the rooftop of Tampines 1!

This playground has dedicated wet and dry play areas and is suitable for children aged 2 to 12. We hope to provide them with multi-sensory play time as part of the family’s shopping experience at the mall.

The playground also aims to educate children on wildlife conservation.

Depicting wildlife from North America to Antarctica, children are brought on an educational journey across the continents with polar bear and sea lion slides, hippopotamus frolicking in shallow pools of water, and giant misting flora and fauna of the South American rainforest.

Boasting lush greenery and sheltered pavilions around the play area, the rooftop playground is an ideal rest stop for parents from shopping while engaging their children in experiential play.

To launch this new outdoor playground, we kick-started the fun on 3 March 2012 with an Exclusive Preview Party for invited guests! Check out the fun that we had!

Be rewarded for being kind this festive season!

Have you been good?

This season, we are rewarding shoppers who act in kindness.

Secret ambassadors are on the prowl to spot GOOD shoppers and to reward them with surprise gifts.

Our kindness ambassadors - the Tonttu family and Singa the Singapore Kindness Movement mascot!

The Tonttu family went around the mall to spot good shoppers. Good shoppers get the GREEN whistle while naughty shoppers received the RED whistle .

“This is a nice gesture. I am surprised to be rewarded with a voucher for just saying “Thank you”. It is a great reminder that we should always be gracious and give thanks”. Shopper Ms Alice Bhua, 36, with her family members.

Mr & Mrs Rayo from Philippines and their 6-year old son Rafa. They felt that Singa was a good way to reach out to the children and educate them on the importance of being kind.

Our mall is also filled with messages to encourage basic courtesy.

Messages in our toilets

Mirror stickers

Messages in our lift: "Nice of you to press the lift buttons for others but don't get naughty and press all buttons!"

Check out the messages along our common walkway

So be in your best behaviour and you might be the next one to be rewarded!
